We are pleased to announce that for over a year, we have been acting as project legal counsel for a mega residential real estate project dubbed “One Canal Road” being developed in the heart of Lahore expected to value over PKR 3 billion.
The project is designed by Miami’s leading architect Kobi Karp, who gave the following statement: “I have designed One Canal Road to the highest of international standards, the development rivals any of the best buildings I have designed in Miami or the Middle-East. One Canal Road will be an icon in Lahore’s skyline”. Other notable organizations contracted for the project include VERSACE, Zaha Hadid, WATG and VX Studio.
We provided end-to-end legal services on the entire project from purchase of the land to construction, completion and eventual sale. Our services included conducting a pre-purchase due diligence on the project land, preparing and negotiating multilateral agreements to sell and, later on, sale deeds, getting the sale deeds properly executed and registered with the relevant authorities, identifying and advising on the approvals and permissions required for construction of the project including NOCs from LDA, preparing and advising on contracts for advertising, mobile application services, brokerage, marketing, administration and customer care, preparing and advising on NDAs, preparing and advising on contracts for pre-completion reservations and bookings, preparing and advising on post-completion contracts for sale, and advising on and providing legal services related to various other aspects of the project.
