Represented the producers of the movie, The Legend of Maula Jatt (the Movie), and won in one of the most complex intellectual property cases in Pakistan’s history resulting from an incredibly hard-fought battle by our litigation team over the course of a few years.
Three years ago, the Movie was locked down by a multitude of cases and stays being pursued in High Court, Civil Court, Criminal Courts and Copyright Tribunals, both in Lahore and Karachi, because of which it was almost impossible to get the Movie released.
Our firm reluctantly took up the agenda of handling all pending court cases to have all stays removed all over Pakistan and ultimately succeeded in getting the Movie finally released yesterday.
