Thrilled to announce that after a competitive public procurement process, Ahmed & Qazi has been selected by the Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan, as its legal counsel under Pakistani law for a Panda Bond issue aiming to raise a significant US$300 million from the Chinese capital markets — an exciting new frontier for Pakistan’s debt capital strategy.
Since 2014, Ahmed & Qazi has proudly served as the Ministry’s legal counsel for every Sukuk and Eurobond offering on the London and Luxembourg Stock Exchanges, representing a collective issue size of US$6.5+ billion. This latest deal will mark a landmark achievement as the first entry into the Chinese capital markets, further expanding our footprint in global finance and showcasing our firm’s dedication to innovation and excellence in debt capital markets.
